It's not that. I think it's two things - the sides and the odd curves on the front of the control panel.

Now, that makes it look a lot better. I know what you mean in regards to the render. If you don't change one setting in Solidworks, everything looks like it was made in Sketchup. (Dig dig dig.)

yup, the taller side walls, joystick placement, button count and placement, all completely identical! I guess if you get a blank from Rick or Haruman you dont get the high quality buttons or stick or the top of the line encoder, so thats another reason to go Xarcade. /sarcasm

Sorry, maybe I missed something in my absence (and by absence, i mean not being able to check the forum several times a day like a used to), but what is all the hate recently with anything being designed / built from a kit these days?

I mean, the kits I've seen come out of the community here lately have been top-notch quality, and using pretty much the same materials if they were built any other way. We are not all lucky enough to have access to the same tools or workshop space, so I consider these a godsend.

Sure, some of what I saw as recently as 5 years ago was not very impressive. And some products I've seen being sold elsewhere on-line still fall into that "questionable quality" category. But not internally here.

Is it the influx of more bar-top builds and less "true restoration" threads? People being considered lazy? The designs? I just don't see the cause for the venom. Not trying to stir a hornet's nest, genuinely curious and I'll start a separate thread if needed.

I love my HaRuMaNCustoms cocktail kit. He basically did the heavy lifting part for me with the main body kit, and I've been able to give it my own touches. My plan was always to build from scratch, but it ended up saving me time. In fact, I've bought 5 kits from HaRuMaN over the past year, and we're working on the 6th right now. That means I qualify for a free sawhorse.

Oh, and I LOVE restorations.

That is just the way the MAS Full Stick was made & that one had a 360 optical joy in it.

Thanks. The weekend has been pretty busy so i took some time little by little to try to get the triangles symmetrical etc. my vector work is very rusty but so far i'm working on cleaning up the image and setting it to scale. So far, pretty decent. When I'm done, i'll upload what i have.
