Lookie what I got this weekend:
This came all the way from down there in Arizona, to up here in Vancouver BC Canada.
At first opening the box, I can see the packaging was well thought out, from the light-weight materials to the method of wrapping the panels.
Each set of panels are tightly packed together, with foam protecting the edges.
No damage! I was worried that the long travel distance and exchanging of hands/trucks/planes, etc... would yield some unwanted results, but it all came in unscathed!
All the contents:
I asked Lee to route out the bottom of my control panel to be able to fit Japanese-type controls. My Seimitsu LS-58, and Sanwa buttons fit well! Don't mind the snap-in Sanwa buttons, I'll be going with screw-in ones once they arrive.
Paradise Arcade Shop's aluminum balltop with shaft cover on the LS-58. I love that balltop, it has this dark, dull, matte look that is really sleek looking in RL. This is a 1P bartop...geared towards more non-kick harness games. (if you know how I feel about the LS-58's, and what I use them for, then it'll be pretty easy to figure out what type of games I'll be playing on this thing)
I gotta say, this kit is looking really sweet!
The quality of the cuts is clean, as expected, and the weight of the cabinet altogether isn't too heavy, but not too light. The laminate is going to save a lot of time painting and priming, and it just looks sexy.
I've got a few plans for having the CP accessible from the front.
I'll post more information on it once I start assembling, and probably put up a project thread. For now, I'm keeping my project intentions close-to-the-chest, but I will say that I'm stoked to get this assembled, all wired and art'd up!
