Attached is my first 12mm release version.
Edit: Added a "Side cross section" to the file and updated it to "beta 1_2"
Edit 2: Made a dumb error with the joystick positioning calculations. My idea with the lowered admin buttons won't work due to this. Once again: Back to the drawing board
Edit 3: Problem solved! I raised the base of the cabinet with 13.5mm and now the lowered admin buttons do clear the joysticks as intended. (see first sheet of new beta)
Edit 4: In order to fit Happ competition joysticks as well I raised it with another 6,5mmI hope to be routing a first "test" version in the next couple of weeks (have some other stuff to route first).
Some things I "changed":• Converted to 12mm material instead of 1/2"
• Converted to 3mm acryllic instead of 1/8"
• Converted the design to using T-bone fillets for the panel tabs and slots
• Adjusted panel angles to more logical numbers (30º, 45º, 5º, 12.5º etc.)
• Adjusted angle between CP and admin panel to 90º
• Enlarged the cp with a few mm so it overhangs the admin button panel
• Added the possibility for mounting/easy alignment of the cp with 6mm doves. Permanent screwing is still posible, added semicircular cutouts for this in the bottom panel (thanks for the tip degenatrons!)
• Added extra ventilation holes in the top back panel
• Added the posibility for mounting the marquee the same way used in my "evo XR cade"
• Added shallow slots in the sidepanels for the monitor bezel acryllic so it can be clamped in between (slots are 1.5mm deep, acryllic needs to be 452mm wide). By slightly bending the acryllic it can still be removed (e.g. in case a new monitor will be fitted). This is experimental but I hope it works.
• Raised the base of the cabinet with 20mm so lower placed admin buttons clear joysticks with a maximum base thickness of 42mm
• Added 6 button layouts + possible admin and pinball button positions.
• and some more stuff
