Is that 22" edge to edge or 22" just on the control panel.   Thanks!

Just got my kit!
Packaging was nice and tight, no shipping damage on any corners.
Kit contained all the correct pieces showed in the preview.

I'm really looking forward to start building!!

Thanks HaRuMaN

Awesome, thanks for the order!  :applaud:

Got mine today!  Packed VERY well too, seriously impressed :).  I started putting it together and can't wait to play around with it!  Sadly, my CGA monitor that came in last week or the week before was DOA and had to be sent in for warranty replacement and I don't know when I'm getting it :(.  I plan on using mine as a jamma test bench as well as playing games on it.

Thanks again HaRuMan!  My friend Josh came over while I was starting assembly and really wants one now too ;)

no idea yet, might not even run a PC (theres always DC, xbox, 360,etc)

I got it because it was such a great deal and Bonnie's Pink Box turned out so well (version 1.0 kit from Haruman)

Yes, just the wood.  Plexiglass can be included, too.

With the simplified assembly, these kits do save time.

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-2408WFP-UltraSharp-Widescreen-Definition/dp/B0018LJYFC
22 x 8.2 x 15.6 inches

The Asus is
21.6 x 8.7 x 16.1 inches

Tempted.  I've got enough pc parts gathering dust as well.

Still working on the plans for the vertical.  I was planning on 19" being the default size, with a 20.1" being a tight squeeze.  Gonna try to have them drawn up by Monday.

I am looking at a new VW246H as I type, will it fit the same as the VH236H? think I am a inch bigger but monitors are weird like that and may be the exact same.

or do you have dimentions for the 2player setup? if this will fit I wll do the 2 player instead of the original just becuase I have this monitor here that may fit perfect already.

22-1/2" X 13-1/2" X 3"-4" depth

The 2 player is 22" wide internally...

You maybe could decase it?

it is actually 22-1/4" if the screen overlay is all one peice it could probaby be decased and clear the 1/8" on each side as the plastic itself is probably close to that alone.

now sure how it would look in there with no screen bezel and the display butted right up on the sides of the cab though.

Check out Malenko's build using my kit and a 20" 4:3, edge to edge in there:

mine would have to come off to fit.

I think I will just stick with the 17" instead I want to keep it small anyhow and I would rather have a more squared off screen then the wide screen.

is there any cheap 17" squared lcd monitors with high res?

call me silly but I dont even know what the 4:3 / 16:9 difference is I know my res's and p/i's though lol.

cab does look good though Malenko and the work looks good too HaRuMaN

I got a dell 17" for mine for like $35, looks awesome. 4:3, btw. Thats the squared one. 16:9 is the wide one.

my screen is "squared off" its a 4:3 monitor not a 16:9 wide screen. Its a tight fit and not the greatest monitor, but with the SGL rom craftymech its perfect for the application. I didn't buy the monitor that in mine for the application, I am just using parts that are sitting around :)

Im still working out how Im gonna position the guts inside for ease of use and what not.

good to know and not sure how I never knew the difference in the two  :laugh2:

even when I bought this I wanted a 4:3 but went with this vw246H 16:9 and it is great as a pc monitor and hd gaming with 2ms but the classic's look too weird for me on it.

I think a 4:3 with the slg will give me the look I am after though and should be perfect size at 17"

going from the nanao in true 15k to a 16:9 hd just aint the same for me after seeing the two and being use to playing them all native as opposed to now.

not really. I mean I have no problems playing the games I want. I'm not in a street fighter tourny doing frame cancels and what not, I'm playing sonic the hedgehog on a Genesis emulator and button mashing some Soul Calibur. The monitor was the right price, free ;)
