  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
problems with blank display on arcade with Emu crt driver
« on: January 14, 2013, 03:05:58 pm »
I am rebuilding my mame cabinet and have changed from using Powerstrip to Emu's ATI driver's.

My problem is on Windows boot. I get the 31hz signal (split through Jpac) but when the Emu driver's kick in the screen goes blank. Plugging in my normal computer monitor at that stage does not help (also blank).
If i boot with the computer monitor connected i get the out of range signal once windows has booted, switch to the arcade screen and all working fine.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Also if i boot with groovyarcade the display is fine booting from arcade monitor.

Help please!!!

You probably need to use the other output (connector) of your video card.

Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
