Quick question with maybe a quick answer?  I need to make a decision to buy this cab or not by tomorrow.

I can buy an earlier verison of Joust which is actually a Robotron cabinet from the factory.  Is it worth more restored or should i cut it back to look like a regular Joust cabinet?  The bird on the side looks a little goofy on a Robotron cabinet.

Thanks for your help,

Yep, the one in the middle is what it looks like.

There is some discussion in the thread that picture came from http://www.cgcc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14663

From that thread it seems to be a supply and demand thing. When stock was low they used whatever cabinets they had on hand to built whatever game was in demand. Apparently they also put Robotron in Joust cabinets as well. Just speculation from reading that thread.

Value will be the same either way unless you try to cut it back in which case it becomes a parts machine.

If you are trying to restore it for a profit, well good luck. Most restored games like most restored cars end up selling for less than the restorers put into them.
