Setting up 2 trackballs

Hi
Probably a very simple fix but I have a couple of PC based trackballs, and want to use them for 2-player simultaneous games such as Marble Madness/ Rampart etc. Got 2 problems though:
1) Mame (I'm using MameUI) does not recognise the "mouse" buttons for the trackballs even after trying to assign them via tab, game options etc.
2) Both trackballs control the same cursor
Any advice much appreciated!

MAMEUIFX had a similar problem reported here -- some of those recommendations might help. :dunno

Do you have -multimouse enabled?
EDIT: Possibly related threads here and here.

+1 for multimouse. Mame has to have this on to start using the rawmouse caps and actually see each TB as an independent device.
About MameUI, though, haven't used it in ages. so I'm not positive how it works with rawinput support.
You might try plain vanilla command line Mame first, to make sure it's operational as you expect.
I've got 2 TBs in my cab (2 player marble madness is mucho divertido!)

Thank you guys for the advice, will give that a try :)

No help on problem, but just to chime in.
Marble Madness, yes
Rampart, Double YES
Sonic Arcade game, yes too!
Rampart with 3 players is the best though!
