Hi All,
I have a dedicated Team Challenge cab that boots to the XP embedded deaktop but the game install is hosed.  Does anyone still have the links to the recovery ISO's and all access patch? With nothing but time on our hands right now it would be great to get it up and running.
Thanks all,
NW

Hi everyone...
Im old but new to the party. I had a PGA golf that I sold in 2014 that I bought back recently so I have been away
 from the scene from sometime.
The machine is currently at the Challenge level of software. I understand a lot has happened since I was involved
in the PGA Golf stuff from back when I first owned it.
I recently read that there might be a possibility of updating to get additional courses as well as maybe even playing
online. I see there is a lot of reading to do with 63 pages here so I will try to catch up.
If anyone can advise the best way to update to the Team Challenge or the All Acess from where I am now would
be helpful as I go back thru all the posts.

Thanks in advance for any help.

 John

The online community is strong and growing. The only downfall is you need to be on the Facebook group. They are all great and a wealth of knowledge but its only through facebook. Hopefully one day this changes.

Hello all, I have bought the PGA Tour Golf Team Challenge GlobalVR machine, game loads fine but when I try and play a course it jumps to the thanks for playing screen and I dont get to play at all.

Can anyone help me?
Also could any of you hook me up with links to the game iso files?

Quite desperate at the moment. Its a christmas present for my brother and would suck if I cant get it working for his pub before christmas day.

Thanks for any assistance.

Hello Torin,

Long time no see. Hope you are well. The original server was closed down about a year ago as a new server was created and the community continued forward. I am guessing Tom will be by soon and he will help you out with the new server.

Stay safe.

Very Surprised to see PGA fans still exist!
If anyone is interested I have one original PC with dongle and most of the wiring harness for a PGA Golf.
The dongle is the original Championship 1, but the manual says Championship 3 version. Its been a very long time, but I vaguely remember upgrading all of ours to 3 before pulling them off the route. I cannot find the disks.
3 years ago I did start the unit and it worked perfectly. It has since sat without play or test and has now been stripped out and is sitting in a box.
I have not kept up with trade values, but I'm open to fair offers. Any interest?

I ended up finding the disks and a marquee.
There is a Rescue disk, a 1 of 1 Champ 3, a 1 of 2 Champ 3 and a 2 of 2 Champ 3 disks.

How much do you want for the computer?
Really only need the nytric card out of it. The rest of the computer is junk as everyone has moved on to better computers.

You can pass that nytric right over here :)  Will pay $75 for it right now

Like drummer_god said, the rest of the computer is pretty much trash/worthless.  Dongle is unnecessary due to the emulator, the motherboard/PC is slow/outdated and hte game can be run on more modern hardware, etc.

The server is still going strong and i'm about to release 720P/1080P HD patches.

Hello. Recently I acquired a non-working pga tour challenge machine. I have tried to find the facebook group page without success. I am trying to find a source for how to upgrade and replace the original computer that came with my machine. I believe the motherboard is toast. I know this has been asked previously and I see a lot of good advice, but wanted to know if there is a source that has a list of acceptable computers to use as replacements and all the specs and how-to in one place. Thank you for your time.

HI All,
Hope someone can help me out, I'm trying to fix-up an old PGA Team Challenge All Access Machine. I got as far as the screen that says dongle missing or invalid... can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction for the Team Challenge.dng and possibly the HASPHL2007.exe installation files so I can try making it work with the emulator? ( I did manage to get an HASPHL2007.exe, but not sure if its all there)

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

I had a working pga tour and recently it went out, found one locally for cheap for parts and trying to mix and match.

The most progress I've made is getting it to say invalid dongle.. help. Lol.

Yea, I didnt get to take many pictures, figured the error would help.  I guess I need into the facebook group, if someone were kind enough or just those files, I cant find any DNG anywhere on the interwebs, found the emulator though.

in any case, everyone is going to need more information. does it have a dongle? are you trying to use a dongle emulator? have you installed the proper software for the correct motherboard? is it the same motherboard? is it different? do you have disks for it?

you can't just slap software in there and expect it to work. your dongle i can see says it's golf 3, but your software pic says team challenge... but you didn't TAP of the computer actually running in there, instead a computer not hooked up. so i  have no idea what's going on there. either install golf 3 and use that dongle i can see in the other computer... put a team challenge dongle in the other computer that is running... or see if someone has the dongle info they can send you and you can hack it (which is apparently what everyone in here is doing anyways.)

i know someone had a link to download stuff here at one time, but i don't know who it was, or if it's still there, or if they took it down...or even if they even come here anymore. PGA has been come and go for a while... there was a facebook group and then it shut down and something else came up and people got mad and left...and who knows anymore.

lilshawn, .. gotcha.

Im on page 50 of this topic so far, .. and when I posted this I was on page 10. lol. figured someone would set me straight. I thought it was pretty straight forward, its a computer, runs software, bingo bango. LOL. boy was i wrong.

I got the gist of it now, I'm good with computers (i do programming and hardware), and learning that these companies were really finicky when they put this stuff together, such as hardcoding a specific motherboard etc.. eegads.

Anyhow, I now have a DNG that matches, or so i think, we'll see. Thanks for that and the heads up, you were correct.

I cant find any facebook group, but it seems like it was a wealth of information, I'll be heading back to my shop tonight, posting a handful of more pics with better descriptions and seeing if i make any progress.

yeah there was an attempt to rope operators into buying specific hardware only from the manufacturer, only being able to get disks and replacement parts from them only... and charging up the wazoo for it. locking out operators from the software, cause they might be able to figure out how to get around your attempt at bilking them out of money.

IT still does it today with golden tee, and as far as i'm concerned, its a load of horse crap. i should be able to put ANY 750ti card in there and have it work (and there is no real reason it shouldn't) not just one specific model number zotac one IT decided they'd use cause it's no longer produced and they got a truckload of them for 10 bucks each and resell them for 300

So, .. apologies to the admins, i keep breaking rules. =/ last post on here until i get it fixed. . .

finally made it all the way to page 63. Seems like there still may be a FB group, if anyone is here that is there, I'd like to be there as well, please. same usernames as here.

after toying with parts back and forth etc, downloading the manuals from the globalvr site and so on, im thinking between both machines i just need to reload the software on the faster of the two. Thank you guys for all of your help.

Cab looks nice.
Card reader is the old style which won’t work for online play.
You’d need to upgrade the software to Team Challenge as it looks like you have an old edition - championship edition maybe.
The computer is the original computer which you may find sluggish if you were to upgrade to Team Challenge.

This video has some info about online play, cost and the card reader you’d need.

Wikipedia PGA tour golf team challenge as I’ve listed some hardware upgrades you can do to your old DFI computer if you want a better experience....or you can replace the computer with something better ( but keep the nytric card from your current computer as without that, you cannot get this game to work ).

Let me know your thoughts and we can go from there.

I am definitely interested in being able to do online play & willing to purchase the necessary hardware to be able to do so. I have found an optiplex that should work great & can transfer my nytriq card. I will work on sourcing the correct card reader as well. Let me know what the next steps are.
