Hey guys haven't checked this in awhile awesome of how far you have come with this. I have a problem I went to turn on my Team Challenge last night and the computer turns on but the monitor says "no signal" faintly. I hooked my other computer to the monitor and it works. I checked all the connections everything looks good. Do you think my video card went?

Yeah the computer I hooked up to the arcade monitor worked. I hooked the pga computer to a regular monitor too and got a blank screen. The fan on the video card is working.

Had same issue before, check power supply, check hdd, check memory. If you are computer savvy you may need to break it down and rebuild to find bad component. I also had to replace cpu once.

You could have a set of bad caps on motherboard. These are known to go bad and cause these same problems. You are going to have to pull your computer outta cab. That's the only way to tell.
Sorry

Then I would change the CMOS battery and try. Then I would replace ram and try. Then hard drive ha ha. Firstly let me know if any beeps? Thx joe

Yeah no beeps on start up. Basically I turn the computer on and sounds like it starts up all fans turn on but that's it no video no sound. How much does it usually run to replace the computer? Or go the Dell way? Just wondering some options instead of shooting in the dark of what is wrong.

I've had this happen to me before as well and after reseating the CMOS battery (the little round watch looking battery on the mother board) or replacing that battery I've fixed that problem before.  Worth a shot in my opinion.

Pull the video card and see if it beeps, pull memory see if it beeps.  I know global vr charges arm and leg. Dell on ebay I think $50 range. If you get no beeps mean it isn't even getting to cpu embedded software bios.  Did you check to see if any capacitors are bulging or leaking? Unplug hdd when ya boot and see if you get beeps.

Hey guys, I am a long time lurker but new to the board.  I have a question regarding Team Challenge.  I was having some artifacts issues and booting issues that I discovered were the video card (I believe TI-4200).  I purchased a GeForce 6600 which has removed the artifact issues as expected.  The issue is with the new card is the menu resolution is messed up.  It looks like it is at 640 x 380 or something.  Does anyone know how I can change the resolution?  The actual play graphics are now flawless...I highly recommend this card as an upgrade.  Thanks!

That's strange mate. The resolution should change itself on ur monitor when plugged into the VGA input on your screen. You shouldn't need to change the res in the pc settings? I have had this happen after a graphics card change but after a reboot it seems to fix itself?

Same thing happened when I changed a card but resolved second time I booted. Is your monitor tri res? You can always hook up keyboard to computer and go into f desktop to change.

OK quick question.

I've been reading all the messages about getting the machine hooked up online and don't know if my machine that I recently picked up is a good candidate. Here is what I have:

PGA Tour Championship Edition III machine
The marquee also indicates "World Tour Challenge"
It would appear that all the courses / players are unlocked on my machine (about 20 of each?)
I have a "World Tour Challenge" menu item on the machine that is not currently selectable.
There is a card slot on the front of the machine that appears to be functional.

Is this machine a good candidate for getting working online?

Pics of your title screen, select screen. You may have all access team challenge. Look at global vr website for there manuals to determine what you have. Is good candidate as can reinstall team challenge.

Boost, realize you've been busy but just wanted to give you a head's up that I tried to contact the server today to upload some of my player's data and got a 4110 error. Said something about it was unable to deserialize or something. When I checked the log about connecting it said partial failure.

It sounds like you have a Team Challenge all access machine. At this point in time only the normal team challenge version works as the all access pass removes your ability to register your machine. Install normal team challenge version run Boosts patcher connect machine to internet register ur machine and your done.

Thanks spitfire and yukonblaze.  A reboot fixed the resolution issue.  The 6600 is a great upgrade for anyone considering changing their video card.  I purchased it for $18 shipped from Ebay.

On my register|connect page I only have the option to restore cabinet registration. I already had world tour and tournaments unlocked from the patcher. I hit restore cabinet registration to Re-enable online features and it goes to 5% jumps to 100% and says successful. I checked the connection history and it says failed. Anybody know how I can get it to unregister so I can re-register or connect to server?

Hey Sherm has this machine ever been online n tournament enabled before. What version of golf is it? It has to be the normal version of team challenge as that's all Boost has working so far. All access pass or challenge machines will not work.

Its team challenge and yeah I had everything working by following boosts instructions a couple days ago. I re-installed the software to  try and see if that would fix my gameface debugger error. I figured out that upgrading to SP3 fixed the error but when I went to force call the re-enable online was the only option I had in connect/register section and now it keeps failing and I also ran the patcher again.

Sherman
I have found that when there is an error, just reinstall the game again.  Updates can cause bigger issues on the game.

*Question for Everyone
Who here is using an everlast computer in their PGA vs origianl computer.  The reason I ask is I have spare of each and just trying to decide which to keep.  I have upgraded the cpu in each to the same specs but just wasnt sure if it made a difference.

Thanks
Jason
