Scratch that I can look them up. Not that lazy!!!  Called the repair guy. He only defragged and updated registration. Said he got the same error before he did that. He thinks its related to new mobo and like you, needs the discs. Just need them to get here or stp to get me a copy. Either way ill chill til then. I truly appreciate all the help and time you've given. I know I'm slow when comes to this stuff and you've all been great!

Ed, no need to apologize.  I asked people to post trouble shooting questions here so that you wouldn't have to deal with any distractions in your thread. You are posting here as well so where did you want the traffic to go for troubleshooting?  No need to have 2 threads answering the same questions (I'm sure you will agree).

Does anyone know where I can buy the coin droor (Just the door) or the metal plate that covers the dollar bill acceptor to PGA tour challenge 1?

I can trade the cd's that came with the game or the plastic control panel overlay or small marquee overlay.

Thanks in advance

Great question.  I personally would love to fill the gap where the bill acceptor is located so it's not wide open.  I'm confident someone here can point you in the right direction.

i would just cover a piece of metal or plastic in black vinyl or paint and use it to fill the hole.

they do have blanking plates for DBA holes, but it's pretty much no better than anything you can make yourself.

my 2 cents.  :dunno

Got the discs and did restore. Kept getting that popup throughout (usbuii.dll) but hitting cancel allowed me to go through the restore and 2 discs. On final reboot you could see the popup but boot continued. Said loading courses and I about peed my pants....then back to the usbios screen and no dice. Interesting thing I learned is that I have the 5700 video card which builds from disc 1 and not the restore. Back to issue...it seems I can get further into the load w the keyboard plugged in. When I reboot w/o it I only get I initial boot and then black screen. Said before I'm stupid at this but is there some way it's looking at the keyboard input and not recognizing USB?  Any other wild ideas or things try?

you aren't using a usb mouse or keyboard are you?!?!?

you should be using a ps/2 keyboard and mouse....a USB keyboard or mouse will cause windows to detect them and try to install drivers for them (which it wont have because it's XPe...a stripped down driver set.)

I use a USB mouse on all of my machines and haven't run into an issue yet.  Maybe because it's a Microsoft mouse?  I always have used a PS2 keyboard however.

Team Challenge works fine with usb keyboard and mouse.  I believe Slimonce is running "Challenge" so may have different issues.  PS2 would be the safe way to go if that is the case.

Found the usbui.dll file, burned it, loaded it and cured the error. Had to find USB drivers on new mobo. Turned on and voila!!!  Took forever and a lot of beer!  Really thought I was sol. Having some minor trackball issues now so suppose that is next.

xpe is a real bugger...if a driver file doesn't immediately have a dependency or have an entry in the FBA (first boot agent) to plock it into the install, it won't be.

looks like there was a change in hardware midway through the release, so some versions have 2 system dependent disks.

you may have the "wrong" version.

there could be many more reasons for your missing file, but you've got it sorted anyways.

I do custom artwork and vinyl printing/cutting for my full time job. If you want something custom I can work with you. You won't find the original cabinet art any longer.  Here is a custom control panel I designed for my own personal PGA pedestal cabinet that Im building. I designed it from scratch with the Taylormade Rocketballz theme. I have to clean up a couple things but you get the idea.

Using the same general template I used to create the Taylormade themed control panel I created a replacement control panel for PGA Tour Golf Team Challenge.  This control panel (and the Taylormade) will not fit on a standard cabinet control panel.  These would be placed on a Golden Tee LIVE style pedestal cabinet control panel.  Those control panels measure approx. 26" wide by 20" tall.  I was going to implement the PGA logo as well as EA Sports and Global VR but thought it best to not post those here (even though I'm not selling these).

So the one thing I didn't do until tonite was plug in betabrite. It just displayed garbage before but looked stupid w nothing at all. Plugged it in after 9 and it is actually displaying my stats. When on attract it is also synching w that. Thought I would just put it down but now I'm jazzed!  Wondering if all the mobo/USB crap I had to go through somehow patched this too. Would have never thunk it...bonus!!!

Hey guys, I just want to say I started reading this thread yesterday and decided to join.  I am really impressed with all of the knowledge here and would like to join in and see if I, too, can add some knowledge as well as learn something.  I own a PGA Team challenge machine w/all access pass.  I already voted at the top, now we are at 3%!  I'll get everyone up-to-speed on the status of my machine....  I recently replaced the power supply, light in the marquee, replaced a few fans and added a few more to keep things cool inside the cabinet.  My tournament display at the top works for awhile showing the game stats but after a few hours or so, it will go out.  Also, if I don't turn the game on for awhile, the monitor flickers for the first few minutes it boots up and then seems to work fine.  I'm assuming I may have a monitor chassis issue?  As far as the tourney display shutting down, could it be a heat issue from the motherboard?  Thoughts?

That seems odd. My mobo issues took down the tower. I'd feel around for heat issues w the cable when it hits that point. Specifically the connections. Maybe your getting residual heat?  Not anywhere near the resident expert but where I'd start!
