Yea those don't look clear at all, maybe a smokey white.....

I used "Avery 18665 Clear Inkjet Labels" and a "Rustoleum Clear Glossy Spray"

When I print these out I am going to make a little tutorial with the same marker thing you did to show how clear. The cloudy-ness in these ones were very minimal.

It would help me a lot if you can post a pic with some left over scrap sticker over the colored bars on white paper. I may have to travel to the big city and get what you are using. I can still use the back of my aluminum sheet for new stickers, if I think it will greatly improve the looks.

Also there isn't enough light in your picture to tell if the aluminum is showing through well.....

Yeah I know, but you can plainly see the edges of the label against the aluminum. The "clear" parts of the label that will remain with the tag after cutting out look the same way.

I could totally use one of these for my planned Jumpman Jr. bartop!  Haven't even finished my first cab and I already have plans for the 2nd...
