Thicker is definitely better. I filed the edges a bit when I got mine because they were a little sharp but everything else about the thicker is better. Did you ever look at those caution signs at home depot? I picked one up because they were super cheap and I just started messing around to see how workable it is and I am able to cut it using a straight edge and razor blade. I don't think it is straight aluminum or steel. Has kind of a little bit of a silver/bronze color to it. |

As for the tree stumps, I have no idea. I saw the book of kells though (they lie to the tourists, it isn't the actual book - a fake it is! My host is a PHD student there) Will add the stumps to my "things to visit" list, thanks. |
