Nope, this is the real thing complete with glowing marquee and rear logo and glowing front edge . selfie did a plastic version of my design last year.

a nice subtle dig at me taking the easy way out without the marquee

Looking good so far. The offer to LASER cut anything still stands too.

Have you tried steam bending MDF? I did it with hardboard and had great results. On small bends like that the jig would be fairly manageable as well. Just a thought for next time so you don't have to kerf if you don't want to.

Being able to say I contributed is thanks enough

On the masking material, there is a signwriters vinyl specifically for masking that can be run through a vinyl cutter like a normal cut sticker. Also Application tape, the low tack masking tape, that is used to hold cut vinyl stickers together works well as a mask provided you use a very sharp knife to cut it.

I agree with the sentiments re amazing quality of work - also agree with OND re it turning out the build process is just as enjoyable (maybe more so) than playing on the finished article with your mates (or seeing a commissioned cab being just for the first time by the customer) - thanks for the amazing inspiration and creative ways you guys share with us on how to approach different challenges in this hobby of ours

This might be a dumb question, but did you cut that bezel using a 45 degree chamfer bit?

That is what I use to do mine, but I swear yours seems sharper and less rounded at the corners. It could also be that my eye are bad
