GroovyMame and CP Wizard?
« on: November 05, 2012, 09:37:31 am »
Hey,

has anyone gotten those to work together? Is it even possible with the resolution switching? When I exit CP Wizard it will return to mame and I can hear the sound but the picture stands still. I use the "detect pause" setting. I'm on XP64.

Well, I'm not really sure how the CP Wizard actually works, though by reading its web I think it kind of shows some graphics during pause (?), so that definitely can conflict with GM's multithreaded rendering which is *very* delicate and can easily lead to a deadlock if not treated gently. So what I'd try is to use the -nomt option in order to disable multithreading if you're going to use this.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

It will give you additional info as movelists and you can set up a control panel. somehow I got it working and it doesn't seem to conflict anymore.
