I think that's the notion. If you are looking at the bezel and kickplate art as two separate pieces, you could have two sets of plumbers. Since the piping matches so well between the kickplate and the bezel, people might see them together as one piece of "front art" So looking at them all connected, you would only want one set of mario bros showing up. You could throw in some extra critters in there without worry.  8)
