I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I'm repairing a Galaga cabinet where I had to cut off a whole foot on one side. 4 inches on the front, 7 on the other side, and I had to replace the entire back. It can be done. Save that cab! Go for it!

Thanks guys. I'm slightly hopefully and mentioned it to my buddy. Luckily I have the special paint I used for the sides still and I'm thinking I should be able to get it to match. Might be tricky, but at least it'll be back together. I still don't know what the plan is yet or how I'm going to get it to somewhere where I can work on it.

But if it is a go I'll make sure to post a new update for sure.

I've just come across this and was amazed as I'm currently putting together a take on the european version of robotron. Great job on the artwork - that's where I'm stuck at right now.
Shame what happened to this, will try to post up the mine in the projects.

Thanks!

I should have replied, but he managed to get it all cleaned up, with no damage to the body or hardware!

The SHMUP on the other hand had a hardware failure about 4 months ago and has officially died. It sits in my living room still and one day I'll rework it with a retro pi or something. But I haven't had the time or resources to jump into that project yet.

Good to hear!
I'm gonna have to go through your build in detail and I hope you don't mind if I throw the odd question your way. I did manage to source some pretty legit looking adobe illustrator files of the european robotron artwork so hopefully i can adapt them. Cheers.

Heya buddy!

With the death of SHMUP, I was kicking around an idea for a Street Fighter IV cab. We'll see what happens. I still have that spare cab in my shed.  ;)
