Will I ever find a coin door to fit this hole?

I would just get that used one that was posted. $35 plus shipping and you will have the real coin option. It looks like it needs a second mech, but that should be easy to get.

I like the idea of a little metal plate over the bill validator slot. That or just build a glory hole on the front of your cabinet. That way you can still have your bills validated when you play.   >:D >:D >:D

Its you cab though, and your idea isn't bad either. I'd keep the corners sharp. I bet that black "Hammered finish" paint would do a good job getting that coin door feel as well. Another idea, if you don't think it would be too much, is put a steel tread plate covering the entire front panel. I don't know if you were planning on covering up those other two holes as well.

The problem is that that ISN'T the right one. The $35 one is the "mid-width" and isn't big enough, so I'm not going with that one. The one that's the right size is the "wide", and that's $266 new.

I agree, I think hammered finish would look great, and I do think keeping the corners sharp is the way to go. I don't want to cover up the other holes on the front because if you look closely, you'll see that those are cut perfectly and in the right place to mount my 2 HAPP recoil gun hoses! Woot!

I'm thinking if I can find a sheet metal company to sell me the right size plate pre-cut, then I can cut the holes myself with my trusty jigsaw. Yeah it's not the ideal way of doing it, and yeah I'll burn through a few blades, but once the doors are mounted it'll look perfect from the outside.

Gotcha! Didn't see that they were different models.
