Will I ever find a coin door to fit this hole?

I'd put a fillet on the corners of the plate and then recess the plate in the door.

Look at post 48 in the following thread

New front panel that opens with coin door and speakers  ;D

You have found what it needs, why reinvent the wheel?, You could put a stainless plate over the bill accepter hole I spose.
Vigo:
I agree.

I would just get that used one that was posted. $35 plus shipping and you will have the real coin option. It looks like it needs a second mech, but that should be easy to get.

I like the idea of a little metal plate over the bill validator slot. That or just build a glory hole on the front of your cabinet. That way you can still have your bills validated when you play.   >:D >:D >:D

Its you cab though, and your idea isn't bad either. I'd keep the corners sharp. I bet that black "Hammered finish" paint would do a good job getting that coin door feel as well. Another idea, if you don't think it would be too much, is put a steel tread plate covering the entire front panel. I don't know if you were planning on covering up those other two holes as well.

I bought a megatouch with the bill validator missing.
I cut a plate out of textured black abs plastic and mounted it from behind using the bolts that were already there to use the validator.
It looks pretty darn professional and cost next to nothing.
