New Stern Transformers Pin?- $3K REALLY?

Well, who knows... those Bally home models aren't terrible and they were quite expensive and I've heard they were successful (before my time).
Zizzle was supposedly going to do something like this and it never materialized.

The Bally pins at least feel like a commercial model of the time. Back then the reference point wasn't a DMD game with the home model being a stripped down alphanumeric.
That's actually a good question. Are those displays even alphanumeric?

Still, there's a big difference between DMD and alphanumeric. Back then it was a lot easier to strip something down but still have it feel close to the commercial version. The comparison was an EM. IIRC those home models, while Solid State, were finished by around 1978.

I'd sell my Virtual Solar Ride for 3 grand. I think it would have a lot better and longer entertainment value:
