| Le Chuck:
Have you emailed RandyT about the issue? He is very responsive and has a good track record or either walking OPs through a fix or sending out a part if needed. FWIW I have two OMNI2s and have never had a bounce back so you may have gotten a bad spring or something may be put together wrong. |

No I haven't contacted him yet. I wanted to see if others had this problem before I sent him a message. I will do that today. Thanks for the feedback. |

--- Quote from: TGov on September 22, 2012, 10:22:28 am ---It's not in there yet, but will be soon. For this build I really need a 4-8way that I can adjust on the fly and from the reviews the omni2 seemed like the best choice. I have it mounted in a cardboard box for the time being so I can get my computer set up and it is pretty solid. It just seems like to me that the centering spring isn't quite strong enough to keep the stick from going past center. --- End quote --- First thing to do is try it in a real panel. Judging performance based on being mounted in cardboard really isn't the correct thing to do. Cardboard flexes, which means that the spring effect of the cardboard is adding momentum to the return. Second, if you find that the deadzone is not large enough for your particular play style (we ship them adjusted to be very responsive, as that is how most will want them to be) you can adjust this yourself by simply bending the actuator blade on the switch a small bit. This can be done without dismantling the stick by pressing on the metal blade with a thin screwdriver, through the restrictor hole. Do it just a little at a time until the deadzone is correct for the way you wish to play. RandyT |

I know this may seem Obvious.. But dont let go of the stick. Just ease off your grip if you need, and guide it back - stopping it when you want / need. There's no reason to let go, unless you are finished with the game. That would be like taking your feet off the gas and brake, when in the middle of a race, while driving an F1 car. If sticks were made to a spec in which they couldnt bounce back... they would be too stiff to move easily... and or the the spring wouldnt be strong enough to return to center at all. |
