anyone have mame 1063 64-bit with high score and no nag?
« on: August 19, 2015, 08:25:57 am »
Hi I'm really struggling with the compiler.  Need 1063-64 bit with high score and no nag.

Followed mr. Dos tutorial and I get "python is not in same patrh" or something similar to that.
Also tried kaze's compiler but only allows you to do latest mame version.

Even a more detailed directories explanation?  Where do you put buildtools and mingw, mame respectively?

Any help or direct download of 1063 -64 bit w hi score and no nag would be appreciated!

Use Mame Compiler 64, it makes compiling super simple. See the topic pinned here.

Been down that road.  Only allows you to obtain latest releases of mame.  I need 1063.  Thanks for the reply.

You should be able to download the source manually and still use Mame Compiler.

That aside, I'm pretty sure I have 0163 at home. I'll double check when I get home tonight.

That would be great.  Yes I tried importing my 1063 source into mame compiler, hit go, was late so left it running when I went to bed and woke up to see it still "working".  Logged 7+ hours so something wasn't right

IIRC, Mr do's compiling page is a bit out of date.  Follow the instructions on the mamedev site.

The mamedev IS a little more cut and dry.  Now if I want to include hiscore patch, do I need the 1063u patches as well?  How do i incorporate that into the mamedev guide?  Doesn't mention patches.

You'll need the hiscore.dat file, but here is the EXE:

Depends on the patch and what version the patch is for.  The patch isn't supplied by mamedev so they aren't going to mention how to apply it.

You just download the 0.163 source from the mamedev site and replace the 0.164 source with 0.163 one. And then do the same thing with the hi score patch, it's super easy.

What gets hard is when you want to compile a really old version, I compiled MAME 105 last week and that was a ---smurfette---.
