Anyone ever been there before?

The arcades are slowly becoming anything but, so there is no reason to visit them anymore. Barnacle Bill is a place I used to visit at 10AM every morning on the dot as a kid.  Now they got rid of all the good stuff..Star Wars is gone, Adams is gone, ROTJ long gone...Turtles..etc.  The only one still standing after 23 years is Simpsons, and it looks it.  The rest of the arcades on the boardwalk seem to have forgone the games and pinballs and steered more toward ticket machines and coin push games.  hardly fun.

Flashbacks is the only place left with real games.

Also curious if anyone knows the owners?  I noticed star wars was unplugged and toward the back.  When i played it last year, the joy stick was broken so I guess it's been under repair ever since.  IF they where looking to sell it, I would think it'd be an easy fix :).   would be a great early birthday present :)

later :)

TOK:

I've been there a bunch of times, and was just there a couple weeks ago. Was disappointed they got rid of their Stargate. They also have a Defender converted into a Robotron, which just seems kind of odd. On the other side is a really great row of pins that are in dire need of cleaning and maintenance.

We stop in there every time we go down -- it really is one of the very few places with older games these days.  The wife and I always spend a good bit of time there.  There are usually a few games out of commission but that is sort of to be expected.

Sounds like you should buy that Star Wars.

that is the thing about modern arcade owners, they don't seem to take pride in their stuff..anyone here who's really dedicated to the craft have one of their own open? :)
