Magic resolutions and cps2 games
« on: August 26, 2012, 11:55:54 am »
I just installed hyper spin so I had to use the magic resolution option. all my games still look great except for any cps2 games. I would love to go back to the way I had everything set up because it was perfect but I can't run hyper spin with too many mode lines right?

Hi androtaz08,

Attach here some logs of your cps2 games to see what's happening (groovymame romname -v -md 4 >romname.txt

If you don't use magic resolutions you'll need to dramatically reduce the number of modes in use in order to get Hyperspin not crashing.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

I'd be curious to see a log from both setups (with and without magic resolutions) running the same game.

It would then be pretty easy to diff the log files against each other to see what's going on.
