Last year my wife and I saw Don Rickles and Joan Rivers. Rivers was still amazing and was nonstop energy for 50 minutes. She pwned the place. Don Rickles could barely stand up, kept losing his place, and his whole act was centered around being friends with people who died before half the audience was born. He actually repeated the first 3 minutes of a segment of his act and someone had to come out and tell him he had done that already. It was pretty sad to see.

Where'd you see Rickles? I saw him in October in Anaheim and he was relatively sharp. Obviously a lot of the same old jokes but Rickles has earned a pass for sure.

It was either Foxwoods Casino or Mohegan Sun Casino, both in CT. I forget which one it was.

Saw Rancid play a couple years ago and we couldn't believe how old guitarist Lars Frederiksen looked.
Looked like he was pushing 60, but I knew he had to be younger than that.
He was actually 39 at the time.
Man that guy must have lived a hard life and used a lot of drugs.

Wow, didn't expect to see Lars in this thread. I LOVE me some Lars Frederiksen & The B@st@rds! One of my top favorite bands. I listen to Viking just about every time I cut the lawn. Would love to see them tour again...
I just saw Lars in "The Other F Word". I didn't think he looked old, but wish he didn't go so crazy on the facial tattoos.
A little more back on subject...did you know that all the original member of The Coasters are gone. It's only a matter of time before we'll say the same about bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rolling Stones, etc.. Sad days ahead.

Saw Santana last year. 2 hours, 45 minutes nonstop. Never seen anything like that. Johnny Winter still doing well, too.

Johnny Winter plays a small club right by my house once a year. I always say I'm going to go and then miss it. I think it's October this year. Gotta go.
