hi
have few question
i have radeon x550 on my cab, conected to crt tv via scart, it works well in soft 15khz
only problem i have is screen flickering during play movies in olkd games like tomb raider or c&c (itro etc)

is instaling custom drivers will solved this isue ???

and second i tried this driver few weeks ago, it installs ok but i must do smg wrong because i have only 256 colors

have some time today and i would like to tried  it again
what i need to do to install it corectly ??

my radeon have to outputs dvi and vga, now im using vga + soft15khz
but i hear that i need to use dvd + converter to vga to works ok with custom drivers, is it right ??

Hi djcasey,

DVI to VGA is only necessary for newer cards where the DVI is the primary output, I'd say that's not the case with the x550, however as long as you get picture at all then it means that's the right output.

As for the drivers installation, make sure you run CatUninstaller booting in safe mode to get rid of all trace of ATI software, then reboot normally and proceed with normal installing.

Try both 6.5 and 9.3 versions, in case that was the issue. If the problems persist, send me your video card's hardware IDs.

I don't believe the flicker in the movies will get fixed by this drivers, anyway.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

i have small hope for fixing flickering ;p

is all emulator take advantage from custom drivers or just only groovemame, cabmame ??

pls guide me if im doing instalation properly...
uninstalling drivers
reboot
installing custom drv
reboot

what i need to do to gave You video card's hardware IDs. ??

what else ?? do i need setup smg ?
