So in other words, they are all clicky components? How does the Happ Competition Joystick compare to Ultimarc's J Stick? (Sanwa JLW)? |

There's a video at the bottom of the link that demonstrates the difference in clicky-ness on LS-32s and Zippyys. Happ Supers have similar sound results and a "softer" feel to the throw with these switches installed. Scott |

Thanks Scott I don't like clicky-ness personally, and I'm a bit disappointed to hear that SNK uses clickys for fighter based games (probably just me). I looked under the hood of this cab today and found that it has soft click microswitches on the joysticks and leaf buttons. It was funny because I didn't expect that from the "feel" on the outside. I suppose its like a yellow "potato" - all's much the same. Beacause I'm exploring with buttons in this project I would like to stick to the SNK original feel though (well as much as possible). My first cab (and the love of my life) uses leaf components and the fighters play smooth on them. I'm going to stick to these joysticks and add Andy's Happ buttons, as I also need to redesign the layout anyways (and I need a JPac =) Thanks 'all |
