I am still having trouble with the Kick rom. I have mameplus. I actually downloaded the midisso.zip. file and played it in the rom folder and also tried the general mame folder and still not working, any help, Thanks |

They probably rearranged and renamed stuff when they moved the sound rom, so roms from before that change won't work on MAME builds from after the change. (and vice versa) Someone posted recently wanting to know how to enable all kinds of features on the current MAME build, but it turned out the rom site that they were getting their stuff from was hosting an older MAME build and old roms. |

Meaning it containted everything it needed to run, hence the reason split sets "waste" space (lots of copies of the same files) Anyway, this goes back to the value of learning to use CLMAMEPRO. If you would have used it with your specific MAME file (so it matches the roms up) you would have known exactly what you were missing / what MAME was looking for. |
