Finally my first - Spy Hunter

(1/1)

Rando:
Hi all,
After looking for a while I finally got my first Pinball Machine: 1984's Spy Hunter by Bally/Midway.  This was a machine my wife was familar with and a fan of, so that made it an easy choice to start out with.  Picked up from a guy in PA that did (in my opinion) a really nice job with it and despite a delay of a month or so where he battled some type of random scoring issue, it looks/sounds/feels great.

Don't have any questions, everything seems to be working as intended, just for show:

Pinball Wizard:
Nice pickup, I've played the game a couple of times, and it has a very unique feel to it, I like it.

Rando:
I will freely admit that I have never been a "Pinball Guy".  I wasn't very good, my quarters went quickly, so I would spend more time at the video games instead.  My wife likes the MAME machine but pushed for the Pinball.  Now that I have it it's a blast and we now have a couple fun items we won't see in most other houses.

We had talked about adding a second (older EM) machine which is in process, but now she is talking about adding a "new" machine as well (she is a LOTR nut and would love one of those) but the prices of those will likely keep them out of our reach unless I find something big to sell.  ::)

Most people seem to dislike Spy Hunter, perhaps because of its asymmetry, but I think it's sweet, possibly because of its asymmetry...

Nice Pin.  Collecting can get pretty addictive.  I started with one and now have four....2 EM and 2 Digital.  No room for any more (at the moment).
