Driving cabinet, use arcade monitor or flatscreen?

<< < (2/4) > >>

BadMouth:
Model 2 emulator and Supermodel support "unstretched" widescreen now, even for games that didn't originally have it.
Virtua Racing had an optional cabinet with a widescreen and the option is there in MAME and works fine.

Good point Badmouth and thanks for the input.  After all it was your driving cab thread I came across that got me into this project in the first place. Thinking of using smoked plexiglass over my monitor. I'm hoping with that I won't need a bezel and also could play both widescreen and fullscreen games without being able to see the outline of my monitor.

SHUT-THE-FRONT-DOOR!!! :o  Amazing videos Ramjet.  I'm even more excited about this build now.  I will be checking out all of your videos when I get a chance.

Any monitors you got in a pair of Daytonas have probably seriously seen better days (those games got operated for a LONG, LONG, LONG time), particularly if they are projection models.
