Plus, depending on the kind of Wireless VGA transmitter you get, damn near anything can cause static in the picture (like fluorescent lights, a microwave coming on, a vacuum cleaner running, etc.) A wired connection would be best. |

Wired connection is always best.... but always the most labour intensive. If you have to run cabling yourself, you'll often feel more obliged to try the wireless solution first. You can argue the option "its only the wife, and she'll never notice the loss in quality" which will only add more value to the ease of trying wireless. I've used Composite AV 2.4GHz senders, and find the quality was terrible! but... it worked, and mum n' dad were happy to get cable to their TV by the spa. The 5GHz senders weren't any better either btw! I have ended up wiring my house for Gigabit Lan everywhere now, and super happy I did. There are wall kits to allow HDMI over ethernet (uses 2 RJ45 ports at each end for number of conductors) which means I can now route HDMI full 1080p to anywhere in the house. I run composite and coax digital audio over it too. But it took ages to pull the cables and terminate myself. But a weekend project and plenty of beer, and well worth the effort for the AV enthusiast. If it's just for the missus to play on the sofa... buy a wireless transmitter/receiver and save your energy for more beer drinking time. Oh, and I forgot to say. Whilst the AV sender didn't stop my Wifi in the house, I found that it did slow my connection rates and I ended up having to change the channel I was using on my wifi router. They say it's not supposed to interferre... but I can't help feel it did. |

Thanks for the quality assessment RamjetR. I am disappoint. |

Get that plate with your video and audio connections and duplicate the screens. Then whatever is on the screen on the arcade cab will be on the tv. |
