FALSE:

I'm looking for a specific pitch and bat machine that my grand parents used to own at their campgrounds.
It was 20+ years ago since the last time I've seen it.
Not sure what it's called at all and it was so long ago my memory is kinda foggy on the specifics.

I found this link on ebay that seem VERY familiar...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BASEBALL-1957-PITCH-BAT-Machine-by-Williams-A-REAL-COLLECTIBLE-PIECE-/390411676261?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae6596a65#ht_2460wt_1346

and here for more pics...

but I kinda think the one I played only had 1 ramp.
And to get a homerun, you had to shoot up the ramp and hit a specfic target.
Of course I could be completely wrong...

Really what I want to know is if anyone knows of any websites or publications that cover this type of machine?
I would love to find the exact game that my grandparents owned.

Please help if you can!
Thank you.

A friend of mine has this: Williams Slugfest Baseball which is 20 years old, and has the single ramp.  I played it for about 2 hours last weekend.

I used to love playing Slugfest!

How complicated is repairing a machine like this?

You gotta find one first.

Depending on what needs to be repaired, it could be easy or a royal PITA. Plan on it being a royal PITA. So gather up your patience, then exploit the sources and expertise such as here or at the other sites mentioned. When you get frustrated, set the project aside, and learn as much as you can about the hobby in general.

For that kind of game, I guess I would start reading the pinball repair sites to see what kind of work goes into a machine like that. As much as I detest to say it, PBJ seems to have pretty useful advice in that area.

I'm on my, "pissed off, I'm going to take a vacation from this crazy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---," stage. That will be after I finish jamming said project PCB down the throat of the nearest moron that asks me, "what are you working on?" while using my ancient, out of date, ---fouled up beyond all recognition--- up laptop to explore the stretchability of said moron's rectum.
