Gauntlet II screen tear
« on: May 12, 2012, 12:21:40 am »
I'm not sure this is a GroovyMAME issue, but I found some strange behavior with Gauntlet II.  There is a vertical line/screen tear on the left 25% or so of the screen.  You can see it right when starting a new game, the 'mortar' between the bricks on the floor is wider along that line.  As you walk to the right, you can see the screen tear along the same line.  It seems more like an emulation error than refresh.  The strange thing is that Gauntlet I has the exact same resolution and does not exhibit this behavior (at least not that I can see).  Does anyone else see the same?

Hi ahofle,

Just tried gaunt2 and I couldn't see the anything of what you describe. Make sure there's no residual video setting affecting this particular game, probably inside the cfg folder.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Wow, once again you are right on the money!
I thought cfg was only for input.  There was some weird stretch setting in there.  Deleted it and now it's all good again!
