The most comfortable Car Seat you've sat in
kahlid74:
I'm building my Battletech/Mechwarrior Online Pod and I'm looking for a seat now. I want to go with a car seat simply for the easy track system they have to adjust for different people in said pod. I'll be hitting up junkyards but I was looking for anyone's thoughts on what are some of the most comfortable car seats you've ever sat in so I can keep my eyes open for those at the junkyards.
Personally, I really liked the Nissan 2005 Altima's cloth bucket seats, just seems real soft/comfy and enjoyable. Anyone else have good recommendations?

Any german luxury car leather bucket seat. Check the passenger seats. They will have much less wear and some will be manual while the driver's is electric.

Cool cool, keep em coming! I found a junkyard with 3000 cars that lets customers peruse the wares, which I think is a must since I want to sit in it before buying it.
Do you think I should do leather or fabric? With fabric, I would probably want to wash the shinikies out of it before sitting in it right? Leather would probably be easier to clean.

Anything leather will be fine, just remember to take care of it so it doesn't dry out and crack and break other than that the criteria I would look for would be.
1 Plenty of adjustment
2 hiney depth "I've sat in plenty of sports car's that had super comfortable seats but even with the seat horizontal your butt sank in so far you were sitting laid back at an angle
3 Lack of body molding "Body molding is great when your taking a corner at speed and the rear end breaks loose not so much when your sitting in a traffic jam"
Other than those 3 for a stationary pod I wouldn't worry a whole heck of alot about it, you could take the seat in and have it re-cooshend with memory foam for just a couple hundred bucks and it would be more comfortable than your lazy-boy
