I used to have a SNES store display unit, that used a professional display, was hooked up through SCART, of course I was like 12-13 when I was tinkering with it, I had no idea what SCART was then. :P Bet let me tell you, that thing had a beautiful picture! |

--- Quote from: BurgerKingDiamond on May 01, 2012, 08:02:34 am ---you can't convert composite to RGB. you need to get a SCART cable. You can hack that to work with your arcade monitor or you can buy this http://etim.net.au/scart2arcV20/scart2arc2.htm --- End quote --- That's not entirely accurate. You can't pass through composite to RGB, but you can absolutely buy a converter box that will take a composite signal and "translate" it to RGB. As I mentioned, though, it will look awful. |

I'll rephrase. You can't convert composite to RGB without it looking like crap and completely negating the purpose of the conversion in the first place. get a SCART cable. |

Okay, if I get a scart cable, how do I use that as input for an arcade monitor and would this work for other nintendo systems like the N64 and gamecube and will a scart cable for the gamecube work with a snes? |
| elkameleon:
N64 doesnt output RGB natively, i've tried it with that same scart cable I had for the SNES, it just comes out black and white. Not sure about the gamecube though. |
