You don't even have to make a profit to be illegally copying someone. If you build it in anothers likeness they can still go after you, especially if you broadcast to the world you're building it. |

--- Quote from: Vigo on April 30, 2012, 11:45:07 am ---A remake of Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken were shut down. Of course they were both distributing a product. --- End quote --- That guy doing a Don Bluth fan fiction sequel got shut down too I think? Either way nothing I'm making is intended to market for mass production. I'd like to think that I can get away with ebaying the mini(s) at a later date but I'll have to check with my counsel (legal not jedi). If it gets noticed by the new product division of a major gaming magnate and becomes an eventual job opportunity that's a whole other ball of wax. Sub topic to a side topic: I've got a lead on a SW Racer Arcade going for 475 (working but poor appearance) and the guy is willing to part it but wants 475 for the boards and CP. Says he'll just toss the body and monitor. 1) I don't buy that he'll toss the other salable stuff and called him on it but he doesn't look like he'll budge 2) I'm torn on the price. Should I bite? Would you? What do you all think? |

If you have the room, buy it and play it as a SWA. Who knows how long this speeder project might take? |

I was going to have a bud in the area go and pick up the boards and CP for me and garage them until later this summer when I'm passing through. |
