| Full size joystick on a bartop? |

Does anyone do this? I have an ultimarc. Ultra stick and wasn't sure if the stick would get in the way of the screen much. If you've done it let me know your experiences. Thanks! |

I would say most use a full-size, unless it is some sort of micro-cab with a sub-7 inch screen. Depends on how the cab is built, but usually the angle you are looking at it from gives you plenty of clearance- at least I found this to be the case with mine, and I used a Sanwa JLW, which was a good size for a bartop. |

A lot of bartops use 17 and 19 inch LCD screens which give a screen size comparable to older full size CRT cabs. With proper postioning of the screen there is not problem with using a full size joystick. |

I have the bat top like the one in the picture above. It is considerably taller than a Sanwa ball top |

You're not playing a bartop with your nose touching the front edge of the machine. You're looking down towards the screen, not up from the floor. Unless you build/buy something completely unusual - the stick shouldn't be blocking your view. Of course, do a quick test laying stuff out how they'll lie in the cab before committing to be doubly sure. |
