your mom defeated my shen long last night...twice >:D

Nah I'm with Malenko on this one.  On the surface it's really cute and you think "boy that kid really has an imagination".  Once you start thinking about it a little more deeply though, it's sad and a little disturbing.

The kid seems to be almost soley focused on the capitalism aspect of running an arcade.  Weather he's obsessed with money or our society is so screwed up that this is what he remembers from real arcade experiences... he's just too young to worry about those things and I'm not so sure it should be encouraged.  He seems lonely too.  I mean the little guy is stuck in a place he really shouldn't be, so bored that he's built this entire shop to entertain himself.  I don't really see any friends in the video.

I think that's the real reason people rallied around him, because he seems lonely.

shmokes:
Lol . . . don't be silly. He's a 9-year-old kid. You ever heard of a lemonade stand before?

Seriously man what is your deal?  Somebody makes a post regarding mame... you pop in just to say "mame sucks."  Honestly I can't remember the last time you've posted something other than a one line comment intended to derail a conversation.  I ignore it constantly thinking that it's just your way of getting attention, trying to cover for your attitude with a light-hearted joke or two. Lately though you've just been outright insulting me and you need to cut it out.

So taking into account the type of posts you make if you really feel that I'm projecting something perhaps we should re-introduce ourselves.  Nice to meet you Pot, my name's Kettle.

That's probably the only kind of arcade he's ever known. It is very imaginative and impressive. I don't think you can take that away from him. You think he looks lonely? Is that because the film was edited to make it seem like no one plays his games and he sits there from sun up to sun down waiting on a customer?

I swear, it's these kinds of assessments of children that have most of our society wanting them on Ritalin.
