i'd be careful using that emoticon.  apparently the folks around here have a hard time with it....especially when used in conjunction with humor.

Pud - are you still having issues?  If so what are your current issues and do you need any help or advice with them?  I don't necessarily have the answers you seek but I would like to see this train back on it's tracks.  If somebody posts something that isn't helpful I recommend you ignore and move on, it's an awfully big interwebz as you say and there is room for everybody... or you can keep shoveling and eventually the tide will come in behind you.  Either way I wouldn't criticize the site from which you are trying to get help.  Users tend to get very protective of this site.  This has been a PSA, so grain of salt, opinions are like ---uvulas---, yada yada, take it of leave it.

i'm not criticizing the site.  i have no problems with the site itself.  i'm trying to tell the a-holes here to go pleasure themselves anally without actually saying it.  i loathe stupid...unfortunately some folks are slap eat up with it.   i'm sure you understand that sentiment.

to the point of your post:  i am no longer having issues.  andy helped me out tremendously.  the problem wasn't in the way the JPAC was connected to the cab or the way the adapters were set up....the problem was that i was trying to use the same setup when programming (basically taking the USB end away from the 360's control port and plugging it into my laptop).  in order to program it properly, you have to plug the JPAC directly into the computer with either the ps/2 keyboard/mouse plug or use an adapter like the one mentioned earlier.

once andy corrected my programming mistakes, the thing worked like a charm.  took all of about 2 seconds to program it.

i appreciate your comments and you trying to get the thread back on track.
