Lazy mans arcade
« on: April 03, 2012, 02:31:07 am »
I wanted to build an arcade and cram every controller I had into it. I didn't what to do any wiring myself. I will be adding two guns and possibly some side art at some point.

Interesting premise.  I then proceeded to your webpage and wound up going to your homepage and then the post right after your arcade adventures post . . .

Wasn't expecting that lol.

I can preview his next post for you:

"I put the thing together and fired up the machine and prepared my magic fingers to go to work.  I started briskly tapping away at the buttons.  Nothing happened.  I began to worry, did I forget to turn off the screen saver and did the machine go to sleep?  Have I violated some sort of end user agreement?   Then, all of a sudden the machine sprang to life, the speakers started pouring out waves of pulse pounding sound, then the monitor exploded and smoke started pouring out of it as I stood there firmly gripping my joystick"

That's the Steam interface. I was going to load a game for each configuration but then couldn't  be bothered.

Will be running Hyperspin on this mainly.

My one regret was putting a small sub in there. I fear the vibrations will kill the drives.

Take the sub out.  You don't want to rock the boat before you're ready to unload.

Ahh I see, I thought it might be an addon. I've been trying to reprogram the xbmc home screen a bit to work as a frontend (because the scrapers and eyecandy) and thought it kinda looked like what I was working on  :)
