Welcome to the 2011 BYOAC User Choice Awards Fullsize Cabinet category voting poll!

Each user gets one vote so pick the project that best fits the broad definition below and really captured your attention.  Feel free to post why you chose a certain cabinet but don't feel obligated to reveal your vote.

Fullsize cabinets are defined for this competition as Uprights, Cockpits, V-Pins and Showcase cabinets that demonstrate outstanding theme, style, balance, and execution.

This year we had some great fullsize projects reach completion.  Some were started and complete within a few weeks and some were years long odysees that we had been watching for what seemed like eons. The following project recieved one nomination and as such is awarded an honorable mention as one of the best fullsize projects of 2011:

tommywright's Street Fighter Cab

And now, the confirmed nominees for the 2011 BYOAC UCA Best Fullsize Cabinet in no particular order:

Pixel Hugger's Mission Control

Martijn's Marvel vs Capcom

Fearsomefearful's Pac-Man 30th Anniversary

Knievel's Kisskade

macattack's Big Bang Bar

Chris77's Big Bang Pin

Please be sure and check out the four other categories and cast your vote on each:

2011 Hardware Contribution Voting Poll
2011 Small and Non-Standard Voting Poll

Had some builders from the small and non-standard category take me up on the offer to post a better picture of their build.  Wanted to go ahead and post the same offer here incase any builders would prefer a different pic to represent their build.  You can post in this thread or shoot me a PM and I'll get it changed in two shakes.  Thanks!

I had to think long and hard about which project to vote for in this category.  I know for a lot of folk Mission Control is a no-brainer but I decided to go with Kisskade.  Knievel's cabinets are always top-notch but I felt he hit it out of the park with this cab.  It's a great theme that is artistically executed and as always Knievel's lighting, construction, and attention to detail really make his builds shine.  All of these builds have amazing elements but if I had to pick the one to park in my game room it'd be the Kisskade.

+1  These are all very excellent builds!  :applaud:

Mission Control wasn't that much of a slam dunk for me as I would have thought.  It's simply stunning and a delight to look at with beautiful lines and graphics.  But I am that type of guy who compares everything to those beasts you find in pool halls, mall arcades, etc. and thought maybe it might be a little too nice.

But I can't help but be drawn into MC.  It's just so well done.  Nothing looks excessive - everything fits in so well with the overall look.  Even as I try to think of any negative, I look at it again and I'm calling myself a crazy for saying things like "too nice". That's just dumb. I would play on thing for eight hours and not even notice the clock hands moving.  Mission Control gets my vote.  :applaud:
