Has anyone converted an original 4-way leaf switch Ms Pacman Joystick into an 8-way Joystick?

DaveMMR:
Why not just buy an 8-way joystick?  A Happs Competition or Super or those new Zippyy joysticks are like $10.

They made an 8-way version of that stick. Came in various midway cocktails that had 8-way sticks, Gorf, etc.

I literally just installed one 3 or 4 days now. I would have traded you if it wouldn't involve me ruining the work I already did (special mounting, removing it will kill the control panel overlay).

That may be hard to find. Wico 8-way balltops and perfect 360s have a similar feel.

Thanks.

I was hoping to keep it (ms pacman cocktail) all original since I love the feel of the small smooth ball top and real leaf switches. I figured either it was a dumb question and/or it had never been done before, since I couldn't find anything on the internet in regards to it.

I'm guessing its just not worth the trouble.

if your keeping it original why would you changed the best 4 way stick in the world to 8 way. Will it be a mame cab if so just make it for all 4 way vertical mame cab or if you dont play 2 player i assume you can make on end for 8 way  verticals not sure if i seen that done here
