Royal Air Force 1999-present.

Photo of me holding prepped (by me) CRV-7 rockets with High Explosive heads in Kandahar.

Lots of respect for the US guys I've served alongside, as well as those who have been so welcoming during detatchments to US bases (Eglin being a personal favourite).

Good ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- man, one of my old Sergeants Major was a Worcester Forester over on an exchange program.  He was always talking about that damn ram of his Pvt Darby something-er-other.  Had the pleasure to hang with your type over on KAF a few times and had some of your pilots pull my tail out of the fire more than a few.  You boys are alright in my book too.  I just wish we could rock the short pants that you guys do downrange.

Just joined the form today. Former Army here, 95B. Living in Texas now. Looking for some other members that wouldn't mind helping a newb build his first MAME. My boys are amped about the idea of building our own arcade machine. I am picking up a 2 player cab on Friday and checking out a 4 player cab on Saturday. Looking forward to getting to know people on the forum!

Missed this one....Yeah, I was over in San Diego for a short period.  Went from prototype to ETC7 school.  Got to look at the Exxon Valdez under repair sitting right outside school.   Did a tour in Charleston and opted to come back up to NY for another tour as an instructor.  Got out at 12.5 too.   Still have some ties up in Saratoga as I sit on the employer panel for TAP every month.

I just joined here and stumbled across this thread. I served 4 years full time in the Australia Army. I kind of wish I never left as it was a good life, full of hard times but they took good care of you.

I am a U.S. Army Musician - 17 years so far... 3 to go.

My Navy joke: "How do you separate the men from the boys in the Navy.... with a crowbar"

That came from a Gunnery Sergeant instructor I had once.

Along with a weird rash, a requirement to be "roded off the the range" and an itching need for a dose of penicillin right?  Bah-dum tiss.

Ha...

I'll never forget that guy. He was instructing mostly Army with a few Marines. Every single day, he would start the class with a rapid-fire 3 minute safety brief that identified all the ladderwell exits.

That's awesome. I'll have to pass that on at work.

Greetings!

I did 4 years in the USMC many years ago.  Motor Transport Mechanic.  nothing fancy.  Taught me that I sure as hell did not want to be a mechanic for the rest of my life.  :D
