here's how high it is..more or less(I'm 5' 10") ,it does measure 28in wide and 24in depth...This design I pretty much drew it up on paper.. wanted a arcade console feel...but not to bulky to move around/tranport..i tilted the touchscreen back a bit, so it's easier to see when selecting tracks..

Since it's my first juke , I used MDF board(cheaper,$20 a sheet 4ftx8ft),kinda regret it now(next time using plywood with birch), but anyways it's 3/4 thick, only needed 2 sheets, routered the edges round to preserve the edges. Gonna have my touchscreen on the bottom and another screen on the top for videos,karaoke,etc... I'm using TouchJams as my software($50) which supports dual monitors...love it over all other programs for Juke'n....

i have more pics on my phone...just gotta upload them. I have primered the cabinet now. And will be showing the led lights I also bought which are  remote controlled. Got some slim speakers to go rigth next to the top monitor, and will be putting a lighted marquee sign right underneath top monitor as well...have powered sub to be mounted on the bottom part of the jukebox. Still thinking of a custom cutout for the sound(bass) to go through...will be posting pics ASAP.   Thank You :applaud:

All running on a Pentium Dual-Core 2.50ghz, 2gb Ram, running XP Pro Sp3....kinda overkill for XP but my videos & karaokes load superfast....have a mess right now with pc and all the cables...but gonna add a shelve in the middle of the juke for the pc..should clear the mess in the bottom for the powered sub.... lym2012

installed a power switch on the top, out of the way. I setup the jukebox to boot up once power is detected, in the bios....awesome feature..

another switch pic.....the hole right above the switch is to feed my led lights to light up the top...the cool thing about these lights is that you can cut them...I'll be soldering wires through the hole to the rest of the lights, also going underneath the wheeled base and the shelf just above the touchscreen..

This is looking really great.  Please keep sharing the progress!

There seems to be a real lull in the BYO Jukebox activity here and elsewhere.  I'm wondering if that's because most people that have large mp3 collections and were interested in jukebox software have already built them?  Are more and more people just using cell phones and iPOD's as their stereos, connecting them to amplified speakers and services like Pandora and leaving it at that?

Just wonderin....

My plan is to build a jukebox this summer. I have all the parts I need, just need the time. It's a custom design, so I'm looking forward to sharing it.

Very nice, I like.   It makes my jukebox look like a modified Kiosk with a TV Hanging above it.  Oh wait, that's exactly what mine is.     :laugh2: :laugh2:

ive been using touchjams , skg juke is another great program
i did do a fair bit of work skinning a 4:3 four album view , bob has it at touchjams if you want to check it out email him and he will either add it to the main skin list or email it to you , its pretty cool its got buttons that actually look alight when you press them and the bigger album view is more to my taste , at some point he will be adding an auto scroll after a set time , so the four album view will flick through every 20 seconds or so when your juke has been idle for a set time , great when you have a playlist going and you can soemtimes see an album you havent heard in a while

check out the griffen powermate volume control , its a great knob and has 6 actual options where you can map certain tasks to ie push button in short and long and map it to say options or nowplaying screen or search screen

my juke is on here somewhere with pics of it search my name you may get some ideas , still havent got around to getting the jukebox sign made up but hopefully when im not so busy ill get onto it

good luck with it

I prefer Splashtop for my iPad 2 remote login app.  The nice thing with the iPad as a remote is that I can remote login to my juke from anyone else's house and then stream my juke from the iPad to their home theater using a $99 AppleTV device.  Essentially a very portable fully functional juke.

Hey nice job on the juke, you work FAST! Its so cool that your girl likes to help. :applaud: Took me 9 months to make my juke. Guess my wife is right, I do work slow! but she don't help neater. lol..... I like that dual monitor setup. Is that sub huge? I need to replace my weak sub, that unit looks like it would be sweet for me if it's not too big.

One more thing, can you control the base levels? I want to run my speakers off the built in amp, but I want to make sure I can lower the base level if I have too.  Thanks.

thank you hogcia for your comments....the sub is about 17inches square , so yeah its kinda big...but it thumps!!! the subwoofer does have two volume knobs(level and bass) that you can adjust behind the box(for the price- you can't beat it). I love my baby...she's helped alot in this project. ;D .. next is the marquee, some vinyl covering and the sub cutout with neon ring in the front bottom...then we'll be done.......thank you

great job mate , i cheated and my mate painted it , hes a spraypainter lol , done my pooltable too , the pool table is about 50 years old , one of the old pub ones , used to be woodgrain with a green top ,

the paint work on the juke and pooltable really dont show up what a good job he done , i call it sam , short for sambucca ( black) , when he done the paint for me if you put it in the sun it has the blue black tinge looks unreal

its the only corner unit ive seen so far , really want to get some nice chrome jukebox letters , anyone know where i can get some nice block type letters
