Win XP and MAME - Screen saver kicks in...
« on: June 08, 2002, 10:33:22 am »
Is it possible to disable the win XP screen saver for DOS apps like in previous win versions where I just click properties of MAME.EXE in explorer and say don't allow screen saver...

Right now when I play a game, XP will switch over if the screen saver comes on and I can't figure out how to stop it other than fully turning it off...

I do not think so, but you can try in the properties.  When running a DOS App, press Alt-Enter to switch back to Windows, and click the icon at the top left of your DOS windows, and see if there is a screen saver option.

If not, it might be best to try a windows version of MAME, or boot into pure DOS.
