How to backup the modelines?
« on: February 03, 2012, 05:39:07 pm »
I have a set of modelines in my system. Many of them were adjusted by hand. Is there a way to save them, so I can restore them if I mess anything up?

Get Winmodelines: http://www.geocities.ws/podernixie/htpc/modeline-en.html

It will show your current modelines in a text box, so you can just copy and paste them to a text file. You can restore later doing the opposite. It's fully compatible with CRT_Emudriver.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Thank you Calamity!

I've been doing a similar thing and was about to answer myself describing my method. I won't because yours is better.
