World Class Bowling, ShuffleShot, Golden Tee, and sometime Shuz. These always gather a crowd around the arcade machine...Actually the PC version of Risk gets a lot of action as well. :applaud: |

I find that the common threads in party-friendly games are a) simple and immediately obvious concept/objective; and b) level of difficulty that doesn't kick the novice's arse in 20 seconds. I've had no luck getting people interested in greats like Missile Command, Defender, and Robotron because of off-putting difficulty level. The original Pac-Man, Galaga, and Burgertime do well for whatever reason; presumably because they're very recognizable, the gameplay mechanics are dead simple, and novice players can last longer than 30 seconds. NBA jam, Street Fighter 2, and Tekken have done well in my basement as well, although I'd never play them unless a guest wanted to. |

Warlords... |

Warlords would be great, but you really need a 4 spinner cocktail table to play it correctly with a group. |
