Rowe Berkley Jukebox: speaker connection advice
« on: January 27, 2012, 03:58:54 pm »
I just bought this jukebox from acgarage sale and it came with no speakers.
Owner explained how to hook it up and I got very confused once I got home.
I just don't want to blow out my speakers if I hook it up to the wrong terminals.

I have 2 Polk bookshelf speakers:
8 ohms
reccomended amp power 20-100w

Is it safe to hook up the positive wire to E5 and negative wire to E1?
Also, left speaker to Ch. 1 and right to Ch. 2?
Any advice  would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Al

Hi Al,

You are correct re the speaker connections E1 is the ground E5 or E6 for the positive connection and as you say put the other speaker on the other set of tappings.

The speakers you are using are at 8 ohms so you could wire another set in parallel to give you 4 ohms per channel.
