Mike A:
I thought he stiffed people on pre-orders as well. Guess I should take a breath before I post.

You might be confusing him with Adam Judd, aka Dave Adams (alias) of Ram Controls fame.

Dave Foley is the guy behind the commercially sold Ultracade multi-game arcade machine.
He pissed a lot of people in this hobby off when he tried to trademark the name MAME for himself.
(he claims it was to protect the name, others claim it was to prevent his competitors from ever using it)
Other than that, he really hasn't done anything against the arcade community.
He has announced arcade related products and failed to deliver, but unlike Dave Adams didn't take money for pre-orders.

If you're an investor in his penny stock (NTEK), you might have other things to complain about....and they do.  :lol

Let us not forget he was the first guy to code an arcade multi emulator.  So in theory he was entitled to MAME and its trademark.  Also he pulled his fair share of illegal eBay members out of auctions.  Then there was that twist of fate.  KLOV members are his groupies... :laugh2:

Apparently the legal situation has made this quite the collector's item....

--- Quote ---Since my purchase there was a lawsuit (google....(ultracade lawsuit) involving several companies because come to find out someone stole, copied and sold the games without permission. It's called copyright infringements and it is big time against the law. While there many machine sold and lots of individual games packs and games sold, the lawsuit did not pursue the end buyers (ME) because there was not intent or knowledge by any of the buyers.

still illegal.

--- Quote ---Also out of that less then 15 of them have the most sought after games that are games like Dig Dug, Galaga, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Q-Bert and many others games that I purchased legally for my system. (photos shown)

just because you where suckered into purchasing illegally stolen ROMS doesn't make them all of a sudden legal.

--- Quote ---I have been told the system is worth between 18k to 22k in auction to a buyer. So I choose a number in the middle and no auction fees need will need to be paid.

you were lied to my friend. CGC still sells these machines...and not for 18-22,000 either.

Titchgamer:
20k!?

Shiizzzz I could put together a real arcade for that lol
