I decided to go with this instead. It's pretty straightforward because I built the width of the cabinet to accept the width of a 27" monitor with about 1/4" on each side. Since my cabinet was already laminated and assembled, drilling all the way through the sides wasn't going to happen. All I had to do was build a base for it, then keep it from tipping back and side to side. The glass fits flush with the face of the monitor and is braced from pushing against the monitor too forcefully with it's own blocks. It's functional, not pretty. Then again, I'm the only one who sees this side of it...besides all of you. |
