I'm opening my first Android device tomorrow afternoon and really looking forward to it. --- End quote --- I just cancelled my data plan and threw my EVO in the workout room for netflix. I like IOS but it is not user friendly. Two weeks ago I got lost in Lancaster. Nice town but easily able to get turned around. Luckily I was with a mate and I had to be at a location in ten minutes. We both got out our phones. He has an iphone, me with a Galaxy S. I had the coordinate for the meeting and was perusing engadget while he was trying to get the information up. The advertising on tv is lies. Iphone is cool but not fast AND functional. Just functional if you are prepared to wait. That is why you see people glued to their phones while walking. It takes forever to do anything useful. Jobs legacy come true. ::) |

"Just works" ---my bottom---. I had a Droid and after a year, half the applications released for Android slowed my phone down or plain didn't work. There's too many different "flavors" or the OS for applications to work consistently across the different phones. Granted the newer phones are getting better, but I still see problems (crashing, freezing). I was so annoyed by it so I went with the iPhone. That "just works". I still like Android, just not for my phone... --- End quote --- Stop downloading all the crap apps. You phone will love you and work faster. |

Now I just have a phone with texting, calling, and photographing, and still 30% stinks of it, but at least that is better than 80% garbage software. Oh, and Android might be biggest, iOS turns over 6 times as much on apps compared to Android. |
